A focus on experiential historical architectural research distinguishes the ETC from other digital media centers.
Projects at the center explore a wide range of spatial issues in diverse disciplines including architecture, classics, archaeology, and education. The ETC team has distinguished itself in the modeling of comprehensive environments, from landscapes and urban environments to abstract data. Comprehensive simulations of historical environments allow scholars to study various reconstruction issues and provide new spatial gateways into research and teaching.
Mission
The mission of the ETC is to foster interdisciplinary and collaborative research between scholars of the arts and humanities, research scientists, and information technology professionals.
We aim to simultaneously advance humanities research and applied technology through the investigation of experiential factors such as visuality, movement, sound, spatiality, and augmented reality.
